A Sacred Trust (Amanah)

Privacy Policy & Data Ethics

Effective Date: Perpetual · 100% Zero-Tracking & Local-First Commitment

At Quran Hamid, we treat your spiritual privacy as a sacred trust (Amanah). This application was created for the sake of Allah SWT and as an unmonetized continuous charity (Sadaqah Jariyah). We do not harvest, monetize, sell, or exploit your personal information.

1. Zero Advertisements & Zero Commercial Trackers

Quran Hamid is completely ad-free. You will never see commercial advertising, sponsored affiliate links, behavioral profiling, third-party tracking pixels (such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or TikTok Pixel), or data broker SDKs. Your worship and contemplation remain strictly between you and your Creator.

2. Local-First Device Storage

Your Quran reading bookmarks, tilawah streaks, memorization progress, ayah notes, Smart Tasbih tallies, and customized prayer preferences are stored exclusively on your device using your browser's local localStorage and IndexedDB APIs. This data is private to your device and is never uploaded to any remote server unless you voluntarily register for an account.

3. Geolocation & Prayer Times Privacy

When you utilize "Auto-Detect GPS" or the interactive Qibla compass, your geographical coordinates are processed entirely in your device's browser memory. Coordinates are used solely to evaluate solar altitude angles and calculate accurate prayer timings (Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) and the bearing to the Holy Kaaba in Makkah. Your location is never logged, stored on a remote database, or transmitted to third parties.

4. Optional Account Synchronization

If you choose to register for an optional account to synchronize your reading position and bookmarks across multiple devices, we only collect your email address and an encrypted, cryptographically hashed password (using industry-standard bcrypt). We will never sell, rent, or share your email address, nor send unsolicited marketing emails.

5. Offline PWA Caching

Quran Hamid employs an automated Service Worker cache so that the entire text of the Holy Quran (King Fahd Complex Uthmani Mushaf), Daily Adhkar, and core reference libraries remain instantly accessible even when you are disconnected from the internet or travelling.

6. Dedicated Sadaqah Jariyah Memorial

This platform is established as a perpetual charitable dedication in loving memory of Marhoom Suleaman Ansari, Marhooma Anjum Ara, and all deceased believers (Momineen). May Allah SWT grant them the highest stations in Jannat al-Firdaus.

7. Inquiries & Transparency Contact
